I'm renting the upstairs room in a beautiful 2 bed, 1 bath, & 1 shared office in a South Slope Duplex.

I love pretty much everything about this apartment, which is on the 2nd/3rd floor of a 2 unit building. You need to walk 1 flight of stairs once you enter the building to get to the apartment. It's big, sunlit and freshly renovated with new wooden floors and painted walls. There is a shared art studio/office space. The bathroom has a big skylight and bathtub. There is a large covered balcony attached to the kitchen and a huge roof patio with backyard neighborhood views right outside of your bedroom. We live next door to a neighborhood flower garden which is magical to watch grow throughout the seasons.

The bedrooms are on different floors to allow for privacy. Your bedroom is on the third floor of the building with a door/private staircase. There is plenty of space for any size bed, dresser, desk etc. with two very large tucked away storage spaces as well. Again, you have access from your window to a very large uncovered roof patio. There is central air with your own thermostat. It’s unfurnished but with the option for some furniture.

We have a lovely local property manager who is very quick to respond to any apartment needs.

The apartment is located between the Prospect Ave / 25th R stop (about 7 min walk) and right off the B63. It's a quiet street but very close to 5th Avenue which has many restaurants / bars/ groceries. There is a laundromat a minute away. And best of all, just a few blocks away, the peaceful Greenwood Cemetery.

I keep a clean and calm apartment. I host friends for dinner and on occasion, will host a party for holidays or special events. I work as an art teacher and will be out of the house from about 6am - 6pm most school days. I will likely travel for at least 1 weekend every month.

The rent is $1,750 plus half of utilities (internet/gas/electricity) December 1st move in.
