Spacious 1BR in 2BR Apartment – Sublease in Kendall Square (8/1/25–5/31/26, Flexible Start)
Looking for someone to take over my lease for a large bedroom in a 2BR apartment, starting August 1, 2025 (flexible move-in) through May 31, 2026, with the option to extend. (nothing wrong with the place, my favorite Boston apartment in the last 7 years, just moving for work)
This place is ideal for young professionals or students—located right in Kendall Square, just 1 block from the Kendall/MIT Red Line station, with one of the best views in Boston overlooking the Charles River and skyline.
9th Floor unit with private balcony and sweeping river/city views
Furnished (would prefer to just give you the desk/desk chair, bed frame, small dresser, and maybe sell the mattress, but can just as easily offer the room unfurnished)
Spacious bedroom (you’d have the bigger of the two!)
Full kitchen w/ dishwasher
Huge pantry + extra closet space
AC & heat in unit
In-building laundry, manned front desk, dedicated mail room for packages
Small gym, rooftop lounge & deck with amazing views
Utilities/WiFi/shared supplies: ~$80–$120/month
Dog-friendly (my roommate dog sits from time to time, usually small dogs, but no expectation you needing to do anything in regards to that, just being ok with a small dog hanging out the apt from time to time)
Flexible on early move-in, potentially as early as mid/late July.
My flatmate would likely stick around, he's a great guy, very accommodating, considerate, and clean
20s SWE leaving Boston for a new job. love Boston, love the apt, just time to move on. Would love to find someone who could commit to the full lease.
me and my roommate are both clean neat and pretty chill/understanding.
just looking for someone normal who isn't gonna wreck the place or skip out on rent lol
Would like some proof of income (i.e. a bank statement, pay stub, offer letter, that sort of thing)
Roommate is in his late 20s so prefer a student/working professional young type, but not a deal breaker.
Can show the place, in person or on video, and roommate would love to meet you as well (maybe over coffee or FT call) just to make sure its a good fit.
Prefer someone who can take over the remainder of the lease, and you can always extend after that
I think the building allows dogs, my roommate dog sits, and ive seen other tenants with pets, unsure the exact policy but can easily find out if need be
