I’m Maria Botta—a Fractional CMO and growth strategist trusted by creative businesses to scale with clarity and purpose. With decades of experience leading marketing for global brands, I now partner with founders to transform bold ideas into smart, scalable strategies. I help creative entrepreneurs sharpen their positioning, build effective go-to-market plans, and generate measurable growth. With an MBA in Global Management and a background in both business and the creative industries, I bring the strategic insight needed to help you grow with confidence and impact.

Beyond my professional commitments, I regularly contribute articles on business, entrepreneurship, and startups to several publications. I am currently authoring two books and work directly mentoring entrepreneurs to educate and inspire professionals navigating career transitions through various courses, public speaking, and appearing on podcasts in both English and Spanish.

I love exploration in my leisure time by traveling extensively, immersing myself in diverse business cultures worldwide, and fostering connections within entrepreneurial ecosystems.
I also love adventure travel, have hiked in NZ and The Camino de Santiago, and will be hiking the O track in Patagonia. Driven by a shared commitment to creating positive change through innovation, I seek out like-minded individuals who share their vision for a better world.

Background and Expertise

I bring over 20 years of experience at the intersection of business strategy, creative industries, and global marketing. I began my career as an executive producer in the entertainment and advertising world, working with networks and agencies like Turner, Viacom, Nickelodeon, SKY, Telemundo, WPP, and FCB. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how to connect creative vision with business results.

After earning my MBA in Global Management in 2011, I launched a consulting practice to help startups and scaling businesses turn bold ideas into strategic growth. As a Fractional CMO and advisor, I’ve worked with early-stage founders, creative entrepreneurs, and Fortune 500 teams—leading brand strategy, go-to-market execution, and marketing leadership that delivers measurable impact.

In addition to client work, I write, speak, and mentor across startup ecosystems to support purpose-driven founders navigating growth, change, and opportunity.
