Looking for a new flatmate for Dec 1st/15th. I’m not the best photographer, but the apartment is a sleeper hit.
The unfurnished room for rent in my home is 118 square feet (9.5 feet by 12.5 feet) with one closet, and a west facing window. A full or queen size bed fits easily, with room for a dresser and desk. I previously had a hammock in the room and will leave the hard points up in the wall for your use. Will be repainted by the landlord, but unsure of timeline -- you can always paint if you'd prefer a different color.
The kitchen/living room is spacious -- with a dishwasher. The bathroom has a bidet! Bi-weekly cleaner to keep the vibe fresh, while lived in. So much light! Not enough plants.
Currently charging $1200 monthly rent (plus utilities, roughly ~$130 pp). Deposit required. No cats, but additional dogs okay (and encouraged!) if Daisy the pup approves. She can be reactive with larger dogs, however.
Elevator building built in 1935. Back entrance has a non-ADA-compliant ramp. Front entrance has a ADA compliant ramp, however there are then 7 steps to get to the elevator.
Five avenue blocks from Prospect Park! According to GoogleMaps, 7 min walk to the Church B/Q and 14 min to the Church 2/5.
I'm queer, white, mid40s, and vegetarian. I don't cook often, but hoping to change that this year. I'm incredibly personable and warm, as a former Southerner.
(You def don't have to be vegetarian! I've lived with vegans and meat eaters alike.)
I do work from home, in my office, sometimes working hybrid out of the apartment one day a week. (If our WFH schedules align just right, you can use the office too.) My social life is very robust, and I tend to be out of the apartment on most weekday nights and most weekends. Daisy the pup sometimes joins me, but not always.
I love making my apartment my home, and also deeply value privacy. I've lived here for 10 years. I have somewhat a brown thumb, but love plants.
I'm a late July Leo if that matters to you. Daisy the pup is a Taurus.
Deposit of $1200 required.
Proof of income requested - this could be pay stubs or offer letter.
Three month sublet agreement, with ability to move to a month-to-month indefinite agreement if all agrees.

Daisy is an extrovert who loves most all people. She will enthusiastically greet you and your guests at the door. She is fully housebroken, however a weepad is available to her for any issues. Daisy gets a minimum of three walks a day. For an 8 year old princess, she has plenty of energy. She'll love sitting near you on the couch while you watch TV, but isn't a lapdog.
