Starting July 15th, I’m subletting my spacious, bright 1 bedroom apartment in Ridgewood, Queens. It’s a third-floor walk-up with high ceilings and every window looks out onto the canopy of trees lining our block. This is a top floor unit so if you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to work or return home to after a long day-- enjoy strolls, runs, or bike rides through the very green Brooklyn-Queens streets, this might be the place for you.

This is an LGBTQ-friendly, vaccinated, non-smoking household.

Sublet Availability:

I'll be renting the apartment for the last two weeks of July and throughout August. There is some flexibility on move out dates and potential to extend for the right fit

July 15-30: $1800 (includes electric, internet, and AC)

The Apartment:

-Fully furnished common areas with a six-person dining table, two desks, and an 88-key piano

-Top-floor apartment with lots of natural light

-Large bedroom with light darkening curtains and closet space

-Plants throughout

-Spacious kitchen with generous storage and counter space

-Washer and dryer on the ground floor of the building

-Ideal for creatives or photographers needing bright studio space. Large enough to comfortable share as a couple.

-No TV (for now) but there's a console available if you'd like to bring your own

Situated in the Neighborhood:

-A stone's throw from gems like Rolo’s, Lichen, the Ridgewood Public Library, Sky Coffee, Topos Bookstore, Cassette, Foret Wines, Gordo’s Cantina, Pearl’s, Mano’s Pizza, and much more

-Nearby Grover Cleveland Park for BBQs, chess, basketball, sunning, and a dusk views of the manhattan skyline

-Close to grocery stores, laundromats, dry cleaners, coffee shops, local butchers, produce markets, long standing hardware and landscaping stores, shoe and zipper repair, bakeries— all within walking distance

I live in a tight-knit 12-unit building with long-term residents and families where everyone looks out for each other. I’m looking for someone who is warm and respectful to their neighbors. The wellbeing of the building is very important. Music loud enough to be heard through neighboring walls and late night noise will not be accepted to protect quality of life for all tenants here.

Someone who is tidy and makes a practice of caring for their space, doesn't leave the dishes too long, and doesn't mind keeping the plants hydrated is who I'm seeking.
