We are renting out our spacious, beautifully furnished home in Jersey City Heights while we explore a return to Brooklyn. We’re listing the apartment through the end of August but are open to long-term rentals. This space has been a sanctuary for us, and we’re looking for a person or couple who will care for it with the same thoughtfulness.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a converted historic brick schoolhouse, with wood floors, exposed brick walls, original fireplace and features. The central living space has soaring 12 foot ceilings, and the building has an elevator.
You’ll also have access to a large shared patio surrounded by cherry trees and flower beds. It's a great space for grilling, reading, or outdoor dinners.
We’re a 10-minute walk to Riverview Park (home to the best Manhattan views), 30 minutes to Manhattan by bus or PATH, and just 15 minutes to Newark Airport.
The apartment is fully equipped for cooking, working from home, reading, and even playing music (there’s a touch-sensitive keyboard and ukelele). We have an in-unit washer/dryer and dishwasher.
I'm a designer and my husband works in robotics for sustainable supply chains. We're moving back to Brooklyn and are looking for the right person/couple to take over our apartment, either for a short-term rental while we explore our new neighborhood, or open ended for the long-term move. Duration is therefore quite flexible.
We've lived in this apartment together for 5 years, and it is a special space for us.
1/2 month deposit and one month's rent in advance.
ID and reference from a previous landlord required.
