Subletting our furnished space for a few months while we’re out of town.
Located on a quiet tree-lined block of brownstones in prime north Park Slope, just off the main strip of 5th Ave shops and restaurants. The building is very well-maintained and historic: hardwood floors throughout, marble mantles, chandeliers, tin ceiling in bedroom, etc.
The apartment is the top 2 floors of a brownstone: the top floor is yours and the lower floor is shared with a flatmate, though you likely won’t see her much. We love this space and you will too. We’ve put a lot of thought into the details: dimmers on every light, very well-equipped kitchen and offices.
Personal space (entire upper floor ~800 sq. Ft): large and very quiet bedroom, facing the lush back garden, with a queen-sized bed and walk-in closet. Large private living room and two separate private offices with doors.
Shared space: well-equipped kitchen, plant-filled dining area, and sunny reading nook.
Kitchen has it all: Vitamix, Nespresso, wine fridge, extensive spice collection, all the pots, pans, and pie plates you might need, etc etc
Layout:
Upper floor (private): your bedroom, private full bathroom, private living room, 2 offices
Lower floor (shared): flatmate’s bedroom, shared full bathroom, shared kitchen/dining/reading nook
Misc: gigabit FIOS internet; no dishwasher; small washer but no dryer (but there's a great laundromat with wash & fold around the corner)
Transit Access: Citibike station on the corner, 3 blocks to the 2/3 and the B/Q, and ~10 minute walk to Barclays/Atlantic Av (2/3/4/5/B/D/N/Q/R + LIRR). 15-minute walk to Prospect Park.
$4500 - monthly cleaner included, utilities extra. Available ~July 1 - Dec 31, with the possibility to extend.
We’ll be in DC for work for a few months. Flatmate is in her 30s, works in museum curation, very sweet and friendly. She works from home a few days / week and travels frequently. You likely won’t see her much even when she is around.
We keep the place neat/clean, and home life is calm and quiet. Looking for someone to do the same.
