We’re opening up a bright, furnished front room in our 4-bedroom, 1.5-bath apartment on Hart Street in Stuyvesant Heights for a short-term stay (1–3 months).
The room gets lovely natural light and feels spacious and calm. It comes furnished and has a large closet, making it easy to settle in comfortably. The apartment is on the first floor of a small building, with laundry in the building. Our shared kitchen and living space are warm, lived-in, and kept clean.
You’d be living with three creative people:
Rachel (24), who works in hospitality and studied yoga;
David (23), who works in a restaurant and draws and tattoos in his free time;
Prashant (39), an artist, who shares the home with a gentle 60-lb Australian Shepherd.
Our home is communicative, respectful, and creatively minded. We’re friendly and occasionally share meals or conversation, but we also value quiet time and personal space. It’s not a party house — more of a grounded, balanced environment.
We’re near the J/M at Myrtle-Broadway, with easy access to the rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan. The neighborhood is vibrant and artistic, with cafés, music venues, groceries, and everyday essentials nearby.
Utilities are not included.
If this feels like a good fit, we’d love to hear a little about you and what you’re looking for during your stay.
Hi, I’m Prashant. I’m 39, an artist, and I’ve been living in Brooklyn for several years. I care a lot about keeping a respectful, communicative home, but I’d describe our place as lively in a good way — not chaotic. We enjoy sharing a glass of wine in the living room, listening to music, and having real conversations, while still respecting everyone’s need for personal space. I value cleanliness in common areas and open communication.
I live with Marcel, my 60-lb Australian Shepherd. He’s friendly, well-trained, and mostly just happy to hang out or go on long walks. We’re looking to share the space with someone considerate, grounded, and comfortable in a warm, social home environment.
Rent is paid monthly. A security deposit equal to one month’s rent is required to hold the room and will be returned at the end of the stay, assuming no damages. Utilities are split among roommates and are not included in the listed rent.
