I am traveling and would like to sublet my lovely, rent-stabilized apartment in Northern Bed-Stuy during the best time to be in New York — April. It's a true one-bedroom with a giant closet, plenty of afternoon light, and all the windows facing the courtyards of the adjacent buildings. The courtyard area is very open, so you get a lot of light and a view of the trees instead of a wall. The neighbors are quiet and respectful, and their patio is on a different level, providing a lot of privacy and calm.
The apartment comes furnished, but we can discuss any necessary arrangements if you have your own furniture or would like me to remove some items. There is a record player and a projector set up with a drop-down screen that will stay in the apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped and is a joy to cook in — it is spacious, with plenty of cooking surfaces and storage space, new appliances, good lighting, and a window. There is also roof access and an interior courtyard where I have some patio furniture.
The apartment is in a great location and is close to everything — a pleasant short walk to Fort Greene Park, Bushwick, Crown Heights, and Williamsburg. It's also just around the corner from Herbert von King Park and historic Bed-Stuy. There are lots of great shops and restaurants nearby, and a grocery store right on the corner, but the street itself is quiet and residential.
Lastly, I have two sweet, quiet, and clean orange cats that would like to stay in the apartment. If you're interested in taking care of them, we can discuss a little discount (plus all of their food and supplies are on me).
High-speed internet, gas, and electricity are included in the price!
I am an art director and work remotely allowing me to travel this Spring. I am looking to sublet the apartment to someone who would appreciate the space and ideally wouldn't mind taking care of my two cats. I am pretty flexible and can meet or video chat with you this month to show you the space!
Tenant
Let's meet in person and discuss! I'll probably ask for some small security deposit and a simple sublease agreement.
