Seeking an easygoing, considerate roommate to join the lease of an amazing 3BR apartment in an historic Bedstuy brownstone with June 15 move-in date throughout October.
The rent is $1750/month for both rooms (only renting together). Please read through the whole thing and let us know if you'd like to set up a viewing (can text to coordinate).
The apartment:
The apartment is located in a friendly building on a quiet, tree-lined street. Some perks:
- 7 min walk from Nostrand Ave A, C, and a 15 minute walk from Bedford-Nostrand Ave G
- It's on the top floor of a recently renovated brownstone building with high ceilings and hardwood floors (no footsteps or vacuuming noise above you!)
- Lots of amazing restaurants, bars, and coffee shops within two blocks
- Grocery store on our block
- 15 min walk to Herbert Von King park
- Our generous downstairs neighbor hosts barbecues in the summer in her backyard
- Space for bike storage in the beautiful foyer, some additional storage in the basement
- Access to the roof and the fire escape
- Lots of street parking available if you have a car
The kitchen has a dishwasher, granite countertops and plenty of storage space. Apartment includes a library/TV room that we use for "decompression time" as it's fondly called. The room doubles as a guest bedroom with a pull-out couch shared between all three residents for occasional visits from friends or family.
There are 2 full bathrooms available with huge showers. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers in the basement (shared between 5 apts)
The room:
The bedroom is south-facing with a large backyard-facing window, exposed brick detail and plenty of sun; it fits a queen-size bed with room for additional furniture. It has a sizable closet and a cabinet above. The room is paired with an adjacent private room with an operable skylight and an additional large closet. This setup is ideal for academics/artists wanting studio space, or anyone who needs an office or a room for additional furniture/storage. The office/studio comes unfurnished.
The vibe:
Over the years we've built a hospitable space that fosters a communicative, positive living environment where we share household expenses (gas, WiFi, electric) and chores. We occasionally have friends or partners over for dinner and enjoy the company of each other's loved ones, while being respectful of each other's privacy/sleeping schedules.
We are a queer and BIPOC-affirming household, and are looking for a roommate who is interested in the same.
We're looking for a roommate who also values upholding & contributing to a clean and friendly space and who wants their home to be a peaceful respite from this fun but busy city we love!
About you:
Ideally between your late twenties to mid/late thirties
Preferably have a similar 9-5ish work schedule
Clean, communicative, mature person who hopefully has a fun sense of humor!
Pets:
The building has several dogs & cats who are friendly with each other. We are not looking for a roommate with pets for the apartment

Two people in their late twenties/early thirties, woman (she/her) who works at a healthcare startup and a guy (he/him) who works in book publishing. We both work hybrid 9-5 jobs.
You'll be taking over the room of someone who has lived here for nearly a year who is moving out to take a job overseas.
You would be signing a three and a half month sublease from June 15, 2026 to October 1, 2026. Move-in total would be prorated June rent + security deposit (1 month's rent).
Move-in date can be on June 15 with some flexibility depending on your schedule.
