Furnished 1 bed / 1 bath available for sublease in a tidy pre-war elevator building for only $1,900 + Utilities per month!
Our unit is on the top floor of six, so we get loads of sunlight- which our many plants love. There is a window a/c unit in both the living room and bedroom, which does a good job of keeping the place cool in the summer months. The building features laundry and trash in the basement (which is well-maintained by our lovely super). There is a modest at-home fitness set-up, work from home station, keyboard piano, TV, queen-size bed, full-size gas stove/oven, microwave, electric kettle, and full-size fridge.
The building is located just two blocks from the A and only a 10-minute walk to the 1 train.
The Inwood Neighborhood is lovely and quiet, particularly to the west of Broadway, where this building is located. It is a short walk to Fort Tryon Park, which features The Met Cloisters Museum, and Inwood Hill Park, which features the only remaining natural forest land in Manhattan. Other neighborhood features include a new library branch, multiple grocery stores, a weekly farmers market, and a handful of tasty restaurants.
My name is Erik (he/him). My girlfriend, Eleanor, and I have called this unit home for three years now- and we intend to stay much longer. We love the building and area and are just temporarily looking to fill our space (& keep our plants alive!) while we travel for work & to see family over the summer. We are both actors and outdoorsy folk.
We will be reachable during the term of the sublease, and additional support will be available via my brother, who lives a short walk away.
We are hoping to find a someone, or a couple, looking for a delightful summer in the city who can keep our plants alive and respectfully take care of our space while we travel. $1,900 per month + utilities (elec + wifi). (The 20 days of September will be pro-rated to $1,267 + util)
We will conduct digital interviews with applicants, and if both parties decide to move forward, a written agreement will be formed. The first month's rent plus the security deposit will be due upon move-in. (Deposit returned upon move-out, minus damages).
Additional documentation may be required pending building management.
