Hi there!
Sunny railroad apartment in the heart of Williamsburg. Two blocks from the L train, three blocks from McCarren park.
I've lived here for five years and put a lot of love into the space -- midcentury modern furniture, books everywhere, a sit-stand Herman Miller desk, and a well-stocked kitchen.
I'm leaving town for three months and looking for someone to stay here -- preferably for the full duration.
It is a small building -- three units -- and I am close with my neighbors. Though we live right smack dab in the middle of everything, the apartment is surprisingly quiet and there's a small-town feel to the corner. Sweet people at the coffee shops and restaurants nearby.
Sun comes into the bedroom in the morning and streams into the kitchen in the afternoons. The living room is in the center and provides a cozy nook for the evenings.
Conveniently located to the max.
(Warm duvets and blankets are on the bed now for winter & the AC has been removed from the window. All my personal items will be gone for the duration of the sublet, of course!)
Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, I've lived in New York for fifteen years. I'm currently working on a novel and just finished the MFA up at Columbia University.
I moved into this space five years ago and it is a true sanctuary. I spend a lot of time at home -- cooking, writing, reading -- and so I'm looking for someone who will continue to care for the space!
