About this Service

I am currently accepting new clients for both in-person on-line psychotherapy for adults in New York City.

Most people experience feeling overwhelmed, stuck, alone, and adrift at some point in their lives. Starting therapy can be a positive and courageous step in navigating these types of struggles. Many artists (and non-artists) face similar experiences of low self-confidence, creative blocks, financial insecurity, imposter syndrome, self-criticism, relationship strain, and self-sabotage. Working together, we can deeply explore these areas in your life and start the process of gently untangling them.

Therapy often involves developing new forms of curiosity and care towards oneself within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. This can be the beginning of finding more joy and meaning in life, deepening connections with others, processing difficult experiences, and opening up to new ways of being.

It’s quite normal to feel nervous or hesitant when starting therapy or working with a new therapist. I take a pragmatic, holistic, and integrative approach to this work, focusing on insight, compassion, and acceptance as the foundation of positive change and growth. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. A collaborative and responsive approach allows our work to be individualized to what is best for you.

Contact me to schedule an initial complementary 20-minute phone consultation to discuss what challenges you may be facing, support you are seeking, and any questions you might have. Please visit my website to learn more.

I can offer limited sliding-scale fees depending on availability and financial need. I can also work with out-of-network benefits to help decrease the cost of services if they are included in your plan.

About this Lister

As a licensed psychotherapist (LMHC) with both an MA in Mental Health Counseling and an MFA in Studio Art, I am influenced by the interweaving of creativity and contemporary psychology.
With my background in art, I know that it is possible to imagine and create something new and exciting in our lives.

I am also deeply informed by Buddhist psychology and the pragmatic and loving perspective and techniques it offers to understand and decrease suffering. Everyone has the potential to grow, heal, and change. Everyone has the capacity to connect to their own inner wisdom and peace.

Background and Expertise

I have provided psychotherapy services to a diverse group of clients from multiple cultural, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, sexualities, ages, and gender identities.

In addition to graduate degrees in counseling and art, I completed my clinical internship and two years of post-grad training at Blanton-Peale Counseling Center and a two-year post-grad fellowship with Contemplative Psychology. I’m certified in Contemplative Care from the New York Zen Center, provided spiritual care to patients at the Brooklyn Hospital Center, and currently training in Buddhist psychotherapy at Spirit Rock Meditation Center.
