*If you can only sublet for part of this (i.e. July 7-Sept 30), I can accommodate*
I'm in love with this apt but I have to leave for a couple months.
The apartment: 4th floor, 1BR walk-up in a well maintained brownstone about 1/2 block from Grand Army farmers market (between 8th & Prospect Park W on President St). Original wood floors and crown molding, and a bathroom with pink tile. You'll be on a gorgeous, brownstone-lined street. It's peak Park Slope, really. Quiet nights of sleep.
Neighborhood: Awesome. 3 block walk to the 2 & 3, 5 blocks to the B & Q, 8 blocks to the F & G. The neighborhood itself has tons of charm and what I deem to be the best Italian cafe in Brooklyn just 2 blocks away. You can tell them I sent you -- it'll work in your favor.
Maintenance: A Super is readily available via text message should there be any issues. Trash must be walked down and placed inside the bins out front, but the building has someone to roll cans out and place back clean.
Amenties: Dish Washer, AC, huge bay windows. And a Samsung Smart TV that has finally caught up with the times and responds quick enough to natively host Netflix, YouTube TV, Hulu, etc.
Kitchen: Contains a small food processor, ninja bullet, 12-in cast iron, rice cooker, 1-shot moka pot, water filter, ~12 cookbooks, and a big cutting board. Also contains nearly every other item you'd need (mandolin, microplane, tenderizer, whisks, wooden utensils, dough cutter, etc). I cook a lot.
Lacking: Laundry. I can leave a laundry duffle-style backpack here which can be walked 3 blocks to San Toy Laundry (they're wonderful and reasonably priced). I also use them for dry cleaning as well. It's also lacking a dining room table at the moment, so I typically either stand at the Kitchen Island or mindfully do the coffee table (typically very careful as to not spill on couch or Persian).
My space is tidy, and I'd hope whoever stays here can be mindful to not make a mess. Obviously live your life -- leave clothes on the floor. But just be a high EQ, conscientious guest.
I'm a 33 year old dude who works in tech, loves to cook (actually, I'm good at it), and keeps a tidy space. I signed a lease here in November 2024 and was immediately drawn to how classic + well maintained the unit is, so coupled w/ some more modern interior touches, it's a cozy space that I spend lots of time in. Originally from Philly and have lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Montréal. You can always call me if you need me.
