Rooms for Sublet
This is a private studio (13.5’ x 11’, and nearly 11’ tall) with a sink, large desk, full-to-Queen-size loft bed, and a library of books, within a shared community of 24 people. The building has many large, beautiful, shared indoor and outdoor rooms and areas, including a parlor with a baby grand piano, a large kitchen and dining room, a backyard, side deck, and a roof deck with a view of the Empire State Building and the Williamsburg Bridge.
The rent includes 5 delicious, healthy dinners each week, always with vegetarian options, prepared by chefs here at home. It also includes many incidentals, as well as leftovers from dinner.
There is a bathroom and shower on the floor shared with one or two other people, and other shared bathrooms and showers within the house, and we share chores to keep the house running smoothly.
The dates I'm looking to sublet are May 21 through June 20.
The cost for rent, meals, other food–eggs, bread, milks, coffee, tea, more–utilities and incidentals is $1898 per month plus $45 per month for the air conditioner. The total rate will be pro-rated for the days of the sublet.

An application and interview are required, as this is a cooperative community with shared rooms and areas within the house. The application and more information can be found here below.
That page needs updating, but the basic structure remains current. A $20 application fee is required.
The total price includes five dinners each week, and lots of other incidentals.
Each person is responsible for one house chore (e.g., taking out the trash on a rotating basis; cleaning the parlor periodically), one dining room chore, and rotating bathroom cleaning of the bathroom shared with two other people.
A fully refundable $900 security deposit is required.
