Huge sunny Crown Heights apartment. Looking for a new housemate to join me (and my sweet cat Keanu) on the lease, taking over from my current roommate.
Features in-unit washer/dryer and dishwasher, incredible natural light, hardwood floors, mud room at entrance, spare TV room for shared use, pantry, and closet space. 2 bed/1 bath.
Rent is $2200/month.
You'd move into the bedroom included in the images, with the option to purchase the current bedroom furniture or move into an unfurnished room — up to you!
THE SPACE
- Your bedroom includes a closet, two large windows, and a fireplace (doesn't function).
- The apartment is furnished. We'd just need to replace the living room couch as my roommate will be taking it. I am open to filling the space out with any additions you may have (art, lamps, cat-friendly plants) or even replacing larger items.
- Long hallway connects the open living/kitchen area to the TV den, bathroom, and the two bedrooms at the end.
- TV room den (not pictured as I am renovating at the moment) with a large TV and couch — perfect for cozy day.
-Second floor of a brownstone on a quiet, tree-lined block. Great and kind neighbors!
TRANSIT
- Off of the Nostrand Ave. A/C — a very reliable train that can get you to many parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan easily.
- Great buses very close by for getting to north Brooklyn, and a 20 minute walk to the G train. 25 minute walk to Prospect Park.
THE VIBE
Ideally age 27+
Very tidy and clean in shared spaces—including living room, kitchen, and TV room/den.
Excited to live with a cat :)
(I vacuum daily and have air purifiers to keep the space clean)
Open to some socializing in the apartment, but with ample heads up to one another and not hosting too often as I prefer the home be on the quieter/calmer side.
LOGISTICS
You'll be taking over my departing roommate's lease. Landlord will require application (proof of income, tax statement, etc), and you will replace her portion of the security deposit once approved.
-29, queer woman. I lead content + brand at a nonprofit and work from the office 2 days/week.
- My main priority is to create a calm, clean, and comfortable shared environment. I really value my home as my place to unwind and decompress, so I hope that aligns with your vision for your home too!
- Big cinephile -- I watch movies at home very often :)
- My sweet tuxedo cat Keanu will be our third housemate
Proof of financial health (proof of income bank statements, tax return; option for guarantor)
