THE APARTMENT
The apartment is a big three bedroom that is a full floor in a two unit building. It's only one story up and on the main road in my neighborhood. Whether you want to watch TV, read, or listen to some music, the apartment is well equipped for relaxation. It also has a full dining room and living space so it can accommodate a dinner party, game night, or watch party with friends. The apartment is fully furnished and fully stocked with kitchenware.
There is also a walking pad in the common space that you can use. The common space (dining room and living room) has an air conditioner.

Utilities are usually around $100 a month unless there is very high energy or gas usage, like in midwinter.

Both the B and Q trains are 8 minutes walk away as is Prospect Park. The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens are just a bit further. I also frequently take the B41 and B48 buses to explore Brooklyn.

THE ROOM
This is the largest bedroom in the apartment. It has two big windows. It comes with a bookcase if you want. I also have an old TV that you can use if you are interested. There is no closet in this room. However, it is very spacious.

Any personal items in the pictures (books, cat tree, etc.) will be cleared out for the subletter.

This sublet is from September to December but an extension may be possible if there's interest. There is also some flexibility around dates.

There is another room that I am also subletting and that tenant is already moved in. We frequently order groceries and cook together, and you would be welcome to join in that. We like to play Mario Kart and watch TV together too when we're home at the same time.

THE CAT
My cat, Phillip, lives with me. He is very friendly, curious, and vocal. He is very food-motivated, as a former street cat, and eats anything that looks like a string, from hair ties to bra straps. He is a great cat to have around but does require a certain amount of vigilance to be sure he's not eating what he shouldn't.

Unfortunately, he does not play well with other pets so I can't acommodate other animals in the apartment.

THE VIBE
I enjoy cooking sometimes and exploring the neighborhood and would be happy to have companions for this. I also am a big believer in quiet time though and introverts are also very welcome. We can discuss together what apartment culture we are comfortable with.

I err on the side of movie nights and dinner parties with friends rather than big parties and would ask that you do as well. Guests are welcome but not to the point where it's overly frequent or disruptive to others.

Please let me know a little bit about you, what kind of roommate you are, and what dates you're looking for in your email. The initial sublease will be for 3 months, but we are ideally looking for someone who we mesh with and will stay longer.

About This Lister

I am a 31 year-old project manager currently on a work sabbatical. I've been traveling a lot and working on personal projects when I'm at home. I will likely be out of the apartment for most of the election season.

I love a board game night, a long sit at a coffee shop, and a short run in the park.

My ideal roommate would be someone who likes cats, hanging out sometimes, and being friendly with each other when we're just passing by. I'd love to get to know you.
