ESI is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team of dynamic CPR Instructors. Our company offers CPR, AED & First Aid instruction to corporations & schools. Ideal candidates should be comfortable speaking in front of a group, have prior teaching experience (in any field) & are interested in learning to teach people how to save lives.
Instructors are hired as part-time employees and work up to 30 hours a week, on a flexible schedule.
Our Instructor Responsibilities include:
• Present high-quality CPR instruction to class participants
• Remain in contact with ESI corporate office
• Follow ESI Employee Requirements
o Arrive at specified time
o Utilize web-based time clock system
o Follow ESI’s business casual dress code
o Follow manikin cleanliness protocols in class
• Must teach on required days pre-announced by ESI
Qualifications:
• Comfortable in front of a group; able to present a confident & calm demeanor
• Able to communicate course material in a clear, concise & engaging manner
• Background in teaching or performing arts a plus
• Knowledge of Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) helpful
• Successfully complete AHA Instructor Course presented by ESI
• Must have a Smartphone & internet access on a daily basis
• Able to work independently
• Must be attentive to detail
• Highly organized & professional
• Ability & willingness to carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. within an office space & periodically within a school building
• Must be willing & able to travel within the 5 Boroughs, Westchester, Nassau & Suffolk Counties and/or New Jersey
• Individuals with a car, valid driver’s license & who are willing to drive to locations in the 5 boroughs & metro area preferred
• Qualified candidate must be available during the workweek especially Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays; there may be opportunities for work during early evenings or weekends
• Successful completion of fingerprinting & background check
• Maintain successful results from ongoing background checks
