Index NYC is a shared studio, event space, and community center in downtown NYC (120 Walker Street, between Centre & Baxter). I rent a dedicated desk there and am looking to sublet it for the month of February (I will be down in Puerto Rico).

Unlike many other co-working spaces Index is an actual community. It's small, warm, energetic, creative, and full of of designers, engineers, and writers working on cool projects (mostly digital stuff).

There is also awesome programming (classes, talks, gatherings, etc.).

You will get:
- My desk, which is an Uplift standing desk. I'm taking my monitor with me, however they have extras at Index if you need to borrow one
- My locker, where you can securely store stuff (though I don't lock anything up overnight)
- 24/7 access to the space
- Unlimited bookings of either of the 2 phone booths or 1 meeting room (they're good for meetings, though plenty of people take meetings at their desk)
- Use of the kitchen and shared snacks

I am a 35 year old software designer and engineer. I grew up in Vermont and have lived in NYC several different times since college. For the past 5 years I worked at Wikipedia. I'm currently working on a recipe publishing tool for recipe creators. I truly love working from and spending time at Index. I come here every day of the week (and most weekends).
