Our street is one block off of Silver Lake Blvd creating a tranquil/quiet vibe (and a bit of a view).

Our house was build in 1950 and has been lovingly maintained with many of the original details but several key upgrades -- perhaps notable in the summertime: central AC, rock-solid insulation ❄️

The living area is ~780 sq. ft divided between 2× bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a large kitchen, and a combined living room/dining room. One of the bedrooms is currently configured as a toddler room, but open to reconfiguring it for the right renter...

There are several outdoor areas and an easy indoor/outdoor flow of the space... a grilling zone, a back porch, a back yard.

Washer/dryer, dishwasher, gigabit fiber internet, Sonos everywhere, OLED TV.

The house is actually a duplex with a small 400 sq. foot aparment on the basement level accessible via a separate entry from the street. This unit is a working short-term rental, but it's all partitioned and pretty easy never to see other renters in our experience. The laundry room is shared with that unit, but again, separate doors. You can hear the neighbors sometimes (standard duplex/apt level sound), but you'll be the one upstairs.

We love our house — hope you do too!

About This Lister

Brazilian-American creative director and filmmaker in my early 40s. LA-local for almost 20 years now. Spouse to an production designer wife, parent to a car-obsessed toddler.

We love good design in our house, but really love mellow vibes, good books and music, and delicious food.

Rental requirements

We’re looking for a responsible, respectful tenant for a 5-month stay — someone who will treat our home with care.

We’ll want to have a conversation (or two) to get to know you and share more about the home. From there, the process would likely look like this:
• A brief written application or intro (just to get a sense of who you are and your needs)
• One or more in-person (or video) walkthroughs/tours
• Reference(s) from a past landlord or someone who can vouch for you
• First month’s rent and security deposit due upon signing the lease
• Lease agreement for a fixed 5-month term (we’ll walk through it together — nothing sneaky)

We’re not currently planning to run background checks but reserve the right to do so if it feels necessary — with transparency and in alignment with HUD guidelines.

Move-in timing is flexible within reason, ideally around August 9. Happy to answer questions and keep things human and conversational throughout.
