Hello!

Looking for a respectful, mature human or couple to sublet my 2 bedroom Echo Park home from July 1-September 30 this summer. The house is set up as a 1 bedroom with a spacious office that can easily accommodate two workstations. This house is on a staircase so it’s not wheelchair accessible.

The location: 
I absolutely love the privacy of this house. It’s very quiet, and is tucked away on a staircase in the Echo Park/Elysian Heights neighborhood. This means you have to be ok to go up or down a few flights of stairs to get to the house. The house is in the perfect part of Echo Park where you feel totally secluded yet you’re about a 5-10 minute walk to Valerie/Canyon Coffee/Cookbook Grocers, and about a 15-20 minute walk to Lassens Natural Foods. You’re also a 10 minute walk to Elysian Park where you can run or walk the trails, or picnic. There’s ample parking on the street and no street cleaning either.

The house: 
The house is freestanding and set back from the staircase quite a bit. Since it’s on a hillside, there’s not much visibility into the neighbor’s homes either. All the neighbors are chill and kind people as well.

You enter the front door of the house into a mudroom, then a sizable living room with a couch, daybed, coffee table and TV. The bedroom is off to the left of the living room and is very cosy and quiet with a large closet and dresser. There’s a ceiling fan and an air purifier, as well as an AC vent.

The kitchen and dining area are in the middle of the home and have all you might need - Dishwasher, Modern fridge, Berkey Water Filter, Vitamix, Breville Espresso machine + grinder, Juicer, etc. The kitchen table accommodates about 6 people for dinner.

Moving through the kitchen towards the back of the home, there’s the bathroom, with a cute blue penny tiled floor and a tub for soaking.

The office/studio is at the back of the house facing the backyard, and it gets a ton of light. I really like working there in the daytime. There’s a built in desk that has plenty of room for two people to work, and a couch. From the office, there are French doors leading to the back porch with views of the DTLA skyline. There’s a table and benches on the porch, a couch to lounge on in addition to an umbrella. From there, you descend a small staircase to the ground level. There you’ll find a big eucalyptus tree providing some shade, a built-in concrete sitting area/bench, as well as some lounge chairs and a fire pit. The laundry is also outside and to the side of the house, so it’s not visible to the areas in which you hang out.

Important - Please note! The price listed does NOT include internet, trash, recycling, gas, or electric. The tenant will be responsible for those costs which can be roughly $230-250 per month total, depending on electricity usage. The tenant will also be responsible for taking the trash bins to the curb over 2 of the months they are there.
