Flexible sublet available February 1 for 3+ months

Apartments for Sublet

$4,200/month

Location

Park Slope, Brooklyn

Available

February 1, 2025 - September 8, 2025

Size

750 sq. ft.

My nicely furnished Park Slope apartment is available from February 1 through summer 2025 and possibly beyond, FOR A MINIMUM OF THREE MONTHS with flexible start/end dates.

It's a really bright, sunny top (4th) floor walk-up (i.e., no elevator) railroad flat with high ceilings, a bay window in the LR that faces NW, a kitchen at the other end of the apartment that faces SE, and three rooms (BR, DR, office), a hallway, and a bathroom in between. One of the hall closets and a dresser are emptied and available for your exclusive use. The kitchen and bath were both recently renovated, but it's an old building with some quirks, e.g., the water pressure could be better.

The location is very central and easily accessible to all shops/restaurants on 8th, 7th and 5th Avenues, two blocks from Prospect Park, and equal walking distance to the R, 2/3, B/Q, and F trains; the B67/69 buses stop a block away.

The space is best suited for a single person or couple—the railroad layout is not conducive to a sharing/roommate situation (there is only one queen bed in the BR), and the furnishings are not kid-friendly.

The price includes wifi (there is internet TV/roku so you can log into your own accounts, but no cable), gas, and electricity (included up to $100/mo); two window ACs will be installed for summer. There is no dishwasher, washer, nor dryer in the unit—but there are a laundromat downstairs on the corner and several wash+delivery services nearby.

I've done this before with both my Brooklyn and Upstate homes via personal connections, Craigslist, Airbnb, and here on LP—which I prefer for obvious reasons—and it always works out well for everyone. My place is furnished with a lot of care, and I’d really love it if you can appreciate that and be respectful of my things.

About This Lister

Brooklyn has been my home base for many years, but work and family obligations require me to be out of the city for the time being. I am of course always reachable via phone call/text if there are any issues.

Rental requirements

Please share some details about you in your message, including, i.e., will you WFH or go to an office, are you here on holiday, visiting family or friends, etc.

--You are quiet and will be respectful of my neighbors.

--You MUST keep the place clean and tidy, i.e., run the vacuum, do the dishes, clean bathroom and kitchen, take the trash down to the basement, etc., regularly, otherwise I (or you) will have to arrange for a cleaning person to come throughout the rental period, at your expense. I'm sorry to have to mention this, but it's unfortunately been a problem in the past. Thanks for understanding.

--No smoking or vaping (anything) in the apartment.

--No pets. *LOVE* animals, but...Sorry. Please understand I can't risk having your furry loved one on that blue velvet sofa, your dog being aggressive or territorial or barking non-stop and annoying my neighbors, nor your cat using my furniture/rugs as scratching posts/pads, etc., etc.

We will need to meet, either in person or via Facetime/Zoom. I will need a copy your drivers license or passport for ID verification purposes.

Security deposit and one month rent to be paid up front, further details to be discussed/agreed upon. Any additional days'/months’ rent must be sent to me before the beginning of the subsequent month, via Zelle/bank transfer or Venmo.
