Come and settle in to a cozy and comfortable home base this spring and summer.
My roommate is moving out and I am subletting her room through the summer (with the possibility for a lease takeover in the fall). The room itself has two large windows with sunlight views all throughout the day. They look out on a deck that is available to use. The room has a full bed with built-in storage, a small closet, and a large armoire.
The apartment is located on the second floor of a brownstone in Crown Heights near the Kingston-Throop C train. It has a comfortable dining room with a separate living room and a full kitchen. A washer/dryer is available for use within the building.
The room is available for rent for $1600/month including all utilities + wifi. From June-mid-July my room will be available for $1700.
I am looking for someone communicative, trustworthy, values-aligned, covid-conscious, and compassionate, who will treat our home with the same care that we have for the last 5 years.
I am a doctoral student whose research focuses on food sovereignty and the Black radical tradition. I am passionate about cooking + baking, queer + arthouse cinema, being in nature, and activism. I value a clean and comfortable space, and I still wear a mask in crowded indoor spaces and on public transportation, and would prefer a roommate who does the same.
Rental will require proof of income, a sublease agreement and a $800 deposit (depending on the length of stay)
