Welcome to your next oasis of calm in South Slope Brooklyn! Available starting March 1, I am looking for the next great roommate to join me in my sun-drenched, lovingly furnished floor-through top floor apartment in a turn of the century brick townhouse. The available room comes with its own private entrance, lofted bed, window and small closet. There is space for a small desk should you need it. The apartment itself is perfect for anyone who appreciates classic NYC living spaces, including a water closet style bathroom with antique tub, a large living room and cozy kitchen equipped with plenty of storage space. Ideally, I am seeking someone who works in creative fields or is studying these: fashion, art, design, architecture. You are respectful of the mutual space, interested in the culinary world around us and in Italian culture. Sorry, no pets allowed per the lease.
I cannot say enough great things about the neighborhood-Park Slope has proximity to everything you'd need-restaurants, grocery stores, green spaces (with the Barrel-Pritchard entrance to Prospect Park a few blocks away), cultural centers, museums etc. I myself have been here for over 14 years. Located steps away from the Prospect Avenue R stop and within reach of F/G trains, the apartment is also conveniently located if you're looking to get to Manhattan.
I am asking first month and a refundable security deposit equal to one month's rent upon signing of a Roommate Agreement with me. the $1,300/month rent includes utilities. Ideally, I am looking for a minimum commitment until at least October 31, 2025, when the lease goes into renewal, but could last longer should you wish to stay after renewal. My last roommate stayed in the apartment for over 3 years, so I'm looking forward to another long term commitment.
I am a creative professional living and working in the East End of Long Island/NYC in the artisanal home design sector. I cherish my apartment and consider it my private sanctuary. When I am in the space, I might have a friend over for a drink or ask you to join me for a shared meal but ultimately appreciate my private time. I am cleanliness-motivated but not too picky about it; however I usually vacuum, dust, and mop the common spaces when I am home and expect you to do these things once a week/every other week to keep up the apartment as necessary (it's not hard to keep clean).

Happy to meet interested candidates in the space for a tour when my schedule allows. Upon approval, I request a signed Roommate Agreement with first month and a refundable security deposit equal to one month's rent due up front; a meeting with the landlord to introduce you to the space will also be scheduled.
