Fourteen-foot ceilings, dramatic west facing sunset view, second bedroom, and uncluttered surfaces, qualify as New York luxuries. Its top floor location, quiet residential street activity, and respectful neighbors give a sense of peace, retreat, and privacy. Conveniences like an elevator, washing machine, filtered water tap, supermarket at the ground floor, and close proximity to a subway stop unburden the time spent between daily doings. Two blocks from Pratt Institute and many great restaurants nearby. We've thoughtfully furnished the space over many years with a king-sized bed, warm colors, a projector, plants, and lighting that all imbue the space with a quality of somewhere you want to spend days inside. There is an air-conditioner for summer months as well as room fans in the main sleeping room and living room. The kitchen equipment reflects our preference for cooking at home as we watch the sunset.
We are a bi-national couple, German and American, in our fifties. A performance artist whose medium is architecture and a cultural scientist who is the founding director of an experimental music festival.
