Your French Connection is opening its Fall Session #1.
-- 5-week conversation-based clubs, starting Friday September 20 to October 18.

We propose 2 conversation clubs with 2 different language levels :
* Club Café pour Femmes - Level: Intermediate Mid-High
* Club du Vendredi après-midi - Level: Intermediate Mid

How do these clubs work?
Our weekly one-hour encounters are staged in a relaxed environment for lovers of French language and culture who desire to continue to learn and improve their speaking skills while engaging in lively exchanges.

* On Mondays, participants receive the topic of our Friday conversation - with a few questions to think about, some vocabulary associated with the topic's theme, maybe an article or a short video explaining aspects of the topic.
* On Fridays, we come together as a group online and contribute our thoughts in a group conversation in French with the instructor providing useful coaching to improve grammar and fluency along the way.
Note: These clubs are designed according to language levels -- participants are placed according to their oral comprehension & speaking competences, not on their knowledge of grammar rules.

Your French Connection welcomes individuals from young adults to seniors, who are passionate about learning or increasing their abilities in the French language, so they can comfortably travel and enjoy the culture of the francophone countries and regions throughout the world.

All classes emphasize participants' engagement with the language so they expand their linguistic foundations while using the language in meaningful conversations.

About this Lister

Bonjour, je m'appelle Alysse and I have a passion for French and cultural exchange. This passion led me to teach the language in South and North America, in public and private classrooms to learners between the ages of 8 to 88 years old.

Combining my teaching expertise and my personal experiences in learning both Spanish and English as an adult, I created Your French Connection (YFC) – a company dedicated to welcoming individuals and groups who are passionate about traveling in francophone areas and want to feel confident using their French while traveling.

Your French Connection helps them to build confidence in their French language competences, while focusing on practicing and improving their listening and speaking skills in real-world contexts.

Background and Expertise

* I am native French speaker from Switzerland and, for more than 20 years, I have worked with an array of language learners across the age spectrum.
* For the past 10+ years, I have enjoyed teaching at the Alliance Française of the Lake Champlain Region in Burlington (VT).
* I currently teach French immersion at the Middlebury Language Schools at Middlebury College in Vermont.
