You have discovered our favorite place in all of New York. Located on one of the oldest streets in the city, facing a 100+ year old tree, this apartment is known as 'The Treehouse'. Home to an Artist and a Scholar.

I have lived in this unit the past 9 years with my roommate and we are currently looking for someone to become its subletting Guardian. This was both of our first homes in the city and our only reason for staying. We are looking for someone who understands the energy of the space and who is willing to look after it with the same care as we do.

In a city like NYC, a sacred refuge such as this treehouse becomes a nourishing oasis that never ceases to recharge and revitalize.

Perfect for sunny new york weather. The rooftop terrace has some of the best roof views I personally have experienced. (Upcoming events in July (4th) the fireworks show, you get front row seats.)
The area the roof faces is a garden of the building across the street, so it is extremely quiet. You do not hear any traffic. It is also home to a variety of bird species such as Blue Jays, Red Cardinals there are also Falcons and Hawks that make their way onto the roof.

Ideally this is a place for someone who wishes to seek inspiration within New York City, or someone who wishes to live like an Artist. This place can be more or less considered a New York City retreat, or an Artist's residency. Perfect for someone's first visit to NYC as it will set the tone for what the city truly has to offer if you are able to sit and listen. Ideal for someone who knows the city and is looking for a unique perspective to reignite forgotten passion.

This is a very special place and has evolved and come to life over the years. It is very sensitive to energies and we are looking for someone who respects this. This place is to be treated more so like a living gallery or museum. We look forward to seeing what story you will share with this space. It is a companion in and of itself and will look after you, as you look after it.

There is a NO guest and pet policy unfortunately. Due to the nature of this space and the items within it. Exceptions may apply so please inquire.

There are 2 bedrooms and 1 living space.
PLEASE NOTE: we are currently in the process of transitioning the couch out for tatami mats and will be redoing the area. Once it is complete (By April 10th) We will be posting new pictures.

Please note that there will be an interview process with potential applicants and photos will be added and edited periodically.

We are looking for someone to move in June 1st - September 1st.

If you are looking for something month to month please let us know.

Rates are subject to change based off availability.
This is a flat rate fee if there is a full 3 month commitment.
Will require Rent + Security deposit.
Price includes utilities. (Internet as well)
