I’m renting out a private bedroom in my 2 bed / 1 bath apartment near Leimert Park in South LA. The room is located at the opposite end of the apartment from mine, faces the back of the house, and is very quiet. It’s close to the bathroom, and the hallway doors can be closed for extra privacy, which makes the layout feel especially separate and peaceful.
The furnished room comes with a queen-sized bed (including comforter, bedding, and two pillows) and a mid-century corner table and chair that can be used as a desk or vanity. The price includes all utilities: water, trash, electricity, gas, WiFi, and filtered drinking water. There is no laundry in the unit, but there’s a laundromat directly across the street with free dryers.
Street parking is generally manageable in the area. My landlord has offered his parking spot in the back for an additional $100/month if needed.
The minimum stay is 3 months, with the option to continue month-to-month afterward if it is a good fit for both of us.
The apartment is just minutes from Leimert Park, one of LA’s most vibrant cultural hubs. We’re close to neighborhood staples like Highly Likely, Harun Coffee, Lore Bookshop, and Art + Practice, along with weekend markets, live music, and community events.
It’s also a short drive to Kenneth Hahn State Park, the Culver City Stairs, and Exposition Park. BMO Stadium is nearby as well, which is great if you enjoy concerts or soccer matches.
The location offers convenient access to the 10 and 110 freeways, making it relatively easy to get downtown or across town depending on traffic.
I’m a producer and split my time between working from home and being on set or traveling for shoots. I’m also enrolled in school part-time and take online courses. I have a pretty grounded routine, so I’m looking for someone who’s aligned with keeping the home peaceful and low-key.
I tend to do most of my work in my room and enjoy occasionally cooking dinner or watching a movie in the living room. I care a lot about maintaining a calm, clean, and respectful home.
I’m looking for someone responsible, communicative, financially stable, and considerate — someone who treats home as a place to recharge. If you’re interested, I’d love to hear a bit about you: what you do, what your schedule is like, and what you’re hoping for in a living situation.
• $1,000 security deposit
• Proof of income and references required
• 3-month minimum stay (month-to-month option afterward)
You would be paying rent directly to me each month.
If we both feel it’s a good fit after meeting, I’ll request proof of income and references. Once approved, the security deposit is due to hold the room, and first month’s rent is due at move-in. I aim to keep the process straightforward and transparent.
I have two very friendly cats who love people, so you must be comfortable living with cats. Unfortunately, I’m not able to accommodate additional pets.
