About the Role
We’re hiring a Retail & Hospitality Associate. This role supports the daily rhythm of Colbo’s retail space, with a strong focus on welcoming and hosting our guests. Creating a warm, thoughtful experience on the floor is key — helping customers feel at ease while guiding them through our products, brands, and in-house offering.
You’ll also work across the floor, backstock, and online, keeping things organized, inventory moving, and details in check day to day. This role is best suited to someone who is attentive, proactive, and naturally hospitable — someone who notices the small things and helps keep the space running smoothly.
Core Responsibilities:
Customer Experience
- Welcome and assist customers on the floor, creating a warm and thoughtful experience.
- Support the team during busy hours and weekends.
- Help answer customer inquiries (in-store and online) in a timely and considered way.
- Maintain an informed, easygoing tone when speaking about products, brands, and the space.
Store Support & Daily Rhythm
- Handle opening and closing routines, ensuring the space is set up and closed down properly.
- Maintain floor standards, lighting, and overall atmosphere throughout the day.
- Support restocks, merchandising, and general upkeep of the space.
- Keep daily checklists on track across shifts.
Inventory & Fulfillment
- Assist with receiving product, tagging, and organizing backstock.
- Maintain a clean and accurate stockroom.
- Support e-commerce fulfillment — packing and preparing orders with care and attention to detail.
Team Coordination
- Communicate clearly with the team on day-to-day needs.
- Support alignment between retail and bar teams to keep the space running smoothly
Who You Are
- Experienced in retail or hospitality operations with a strong sense of ownership.
- Organized and proactive — you notice and solve problems before they become them.
- Calm under pressure and able to multitask across inventory, customer flow, and admin.
- Genuinely interested in fashion, music, design, and community culture.
- A strong communicator who thrives in small, collaborative teams.
- Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Founded in 2021, Colbo is a New York–based brand and multidisciplinary retail space located in the Lower East Side. The shop curates international independent labels alongside its own in-house line, and also offers records, home goods, coffee, and a rotating program of events.
