We're looking for a new roommate for a bright, clean room in our 3BR, 1BA apartment off Ditmars Blvd in Astoria.
Rent is $1,172, and the utilities are usually around $100 - $150. $1,172 security deposit is required at move-in.
The room has two windows and fits a full bed comfortably. It has a good-sized closet and the floors and paint were redone last year. The room will be unfurnished.
We're on the third (top) floor of a pre-war walk-up. We have a large kitchen and living room with room for furniture if you are bringing anything. The bathroom has a shower that was also redone last year.
Our neighborhood is great. The apartment is just a 5-minute walk away from the N/W stop at Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and the Q69 bus is on the corner. Target, TJ Maxx, and CVS are one block away, as well as Hamido Seafood and Rivercrest. Natural Frontier Market, Lincoln Market, and many restaurants and coffee shops are also nearby. Yet, our street is relatively quiet and wonderful Astoria Park is less than a half mile away.
The roommates are two females, mid-30s and early 40s. We both work full-time. We enjoy a quiet, relaxing environment at home. We're happy to sit down and socialize from time to time, and we also appreciate having our own space.
We've been in the apartment for a long time and we're looking for a new roommate who is planning to stay long-term. The lease is currently month-to-month. However, the landlord may ask for a new lease and we would like a roommate who is willing to join that lease.
No pets allowed per landlord and no smoking.
