I am a Phd Student offering a guest bedroom here in a quiet little village near NYC. The apartment is spacious and a unique find. Westchester is beautiful and the area is close to many parks good for walking or reading outside when the weather is nice. It is close to the Bronx zoo, Orchard beach, and a short Uber to Rye Playland if you have little ones. I have a dining table and a small desk available for writing, the apartment is full of light with a beautiful view outside. There is a great cafe at the train station where you can just walk in, grab your own coffee and pay via the honor system in a small bucket to get the vibe of the place. A gem of a town close to the city. A 35 minute metro north rail away from Grand Central in New York where you will have access to libraries and all universities there as well as a train ride to other universities in Westchester and Connecticut. The full apartment is around 1200 Square feet with a shared living room, kitchen, and dining room. The room itself is 120 Square Feet. Stairs and Elevator accessible. Smoking and pets are not allowed.
Amenities:
- You will have your own private bathroom.
- Washer and dryer in basement.
- Room comes furnished. (if you would prefer unfinished I can discuss that with you)
- Wifi
- Printer
- There is no overnight parking in the village so if you come with a car you will need to park in a nearby town and possibly rely on public transit.

About This Lister

I am a PhD student and a teacher. I am working from home so I enjoy a quiet and peaceful space during the day. My son comes home from preschool in the afternoon and loves to play pretend and run all over the place, so the peace does get interrupted with great enthusiasm. I am looking for a kind, easy-going roommate who is able to share space in a practical way. Who vibes well with little kids. If you watch Severance, that is also a plus. If you are a retiree looking for an in-between spot as you look for somewhere permanent in Westchester, an academic looking for a space close to New York colleges and libraries, or someone who just wants a toe in the city while living the village life, this would be a great fit.
