I'm seeking a roommate to take over an unfurnished bedroom in this picturesque home in Laurel Canyon.

The house feels like a time capsule of Laurel Canyon in the Sixties and Seventies. If you've seen "Daisy Jones and the Six", they could have shot it here. The property features wraparound outdoor space, illuminated in the evening by crisscrossing string lights. The grounds are tended by a gardener once a week, whose fee is included in the rent. The driveway can fit three cars, and there is ample, unrestricted street parking all along the block. Inside, the house has a washer and dryer, a brand new stove, and a two car garage.

We're in the heart of Laurel Canyon, within walking distance of the Canyon Country Store, Pace, Trader Joe’s, CVS, Landmark Theaters, and the Laugh Factory. It's a 3 bedroom house with a detached apartment above the garage, so four people in total will be living here.

I’m looking for a kind, chill person to take over this room until the end of the lease (July 31). There will be the option to stay longer, but myself and the other roommates will most likely be leaving then to move in with our respective partners. *A quick note on accessibility: the front yard has some uneven stone pavers leading up to the front porch, where there are a couple steps before the front door. Inside, most of the house is on the same level, but there are a couple steps leading down into the washer/dryer room and garage.

I’m Jonathan (he/him) a straight male in my early thirties, and I work primarily from home as a podcast editor (though I go into an office in Burbank from time to time). I also act and write. My room shares a bathroom with the room we're looking to fill. I’m easy-going and somewhat on the introverted side. I like to keep the common spaces clean, but I'm not a stickler by any means. I spend a lot of time reading, cooking, learning Italian, and running (there are some fantastic hills in the neighborhood, if you’re into that sort of thing).

In the primary bedroom is a gay man (he/him) in his mid thirties, who works from home in digital media. A queer woman (she/her) in her mid-thirties lives in the apartment above the garage. She’s a filmmaker and VR technician. While she primarily does her own thing up in her apartment, she’ll occasionally use the kitchen and the outdoor spaces.

Speaking of the outdoor spaces, this house was built for entertaining. We have parties a couple times a year (nothing crazy–we’re in our thirties after all), and past roommates have actually held variety shows here. I'm open to the possibility of doing something like that again.
