Hey everyone! A bedroom in our beautiful, airy, updated 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom is available for sublet!

We're just off the Utica A/C in Bed Stuy. Slight flexibility on dates, but ideally looking for someone for 10/15-11/15. Rent is $1400/month, including utilities.

You will have the whole apartment to yourself until 10/23 - after that, my roommate will return from a work trip. If you would like the whole apartment for the full 2 weeks in October, that is an option if you're able to pay double rent - happy to discuss further if that's of interest to you.

The apartment is fully furnished (aside from our new coffee table that is currently on its way) and updated with central AC/heat and new appliances. There are enormous sliding windows -- we're up high enough that street noise/privacy isn't an issue but still get gorgeous light.

The room will come furnished, but I will of course clear out clothes and items to make plenty of space for you!

Overall, the apartment environment is clean, quiet and restorative, especially during the work week. When she's in town, my roommate may have a friend or 2 over for dinner, but overall the apartment tends to be more of a retreat from social time.

The apartment is on the third floor (no elevator). There is roof access and laundry in the basement (there's also extra storage space for bikes etc). The building is new and small (6 units total), and other tenants in the building are super neighborly, conscientious, and kind.

We're a 5 minute walk to the Utica A/C and a 15 min walk from JMZ. Tons of sweet coffeeshops, restaurants, and other shops in the area; there are 2 grocery stores within 5 blocks and a very solid bodega on our corner. Quick walk to Saratoga Park and a slightly longer but brownstone-filled walk to Herbert Von King.

You'd be sharing space with my incredibly warm and conscientious roommate while I'm upstate for a month. We're both white cis women, she/her pronouns, in our late 20s/early 30s.

I am a somatic psychotherapist and dancer/performance artist. My roommate works full-time for a mental health start-up and is a ceramicist. When she's in town (she'll be away until 10/23), she works from the office or her partner's most days, but will generally work from home 1-2x per week. She also stays at her partner's for part of the week, so you'd get some solid alone time at the apartment.

We generally use home as a respite from the movement of the city and are looking to fill our sweet space with someone who resonates with that, and is communicative, kind, and conscientious. We keep it pretty clean and quiet but are happy to chat and share a meal. The most social it typically gets at home is having 2-3 friends over for a meal or movie.

Unfortunately no pets at this time :(
