This light-filled iconic 3 BD / 2 BA Northern California handmade home dates to the early 70s. With an eclectic collection of art, antiques, mid-century modern furniture, tons of windows and skylights, the house boasts an open plan living room, dining area, updated kitchen, and ample fenced yard. Very private and quiet. Perfect for writer, musician, surfer, nature lover, or solopreneur.
Dates are somewhat flexible, with rent prorated accordingly. Possible option to extend.
The rent is for one large bright furnished bedroom with high ceilings, closet, queen bed, large skylight, and a shared bath. Happy to provide bedding and towels if needed. Kitchen with gas range has everything and more. Great wifi but no TV. Washer and dyer on site. Parking for one car.
The house is a ten-minute walk to the beach/surf and village with two small markets, two restaurants, and a historic bar with live music many nights. The local honor farmstand with fresh organic produce year-round is one of the highlights of living in this rural coastal village. San Francisco is a generous hour's scenic drive along the coast via Hwy 1 or a winding road over Mount Tam to Mill Valley, so those with car sickness or looking for evening social life in the city may not enjoy this REMOTE West Marin location.
You will be sharing the house with one kind, mellow, and tidy mature male woodworker/surfer while I am away. While we are kind, warm, and welcoming people, we tend to do our own thing, keep a low profile, and are seeking the same in others. You are a stable, respectful, tidy, no-drama, active nature-loving soul seeking peaceful living in one of California's most beautiful coastal villages. You are eco-conscious and limit your use of plastics and synthetic cleaners and fragrances. No smoking, please.
