A lovely loft-style 2-bedroom apartment in Long Island City, on the same block as the Vernon Blvd / Jackson Ave 7 stop (one stop from Grand Central.) Down the street from the G stop. The 7 train will get you across town and hits almost every major train line, and the G will get you down into Brooklyn easily. We’re also a few blocks away from the ferry, for a more delightful ride :)
Light comes in from the South, East, and West side windows, including from a large picture window above the sink. We’re on the back side of the building so it’s super quiet. We have tons of books to read and plants that we’d love a hand in watering while we’re away! One of the bedrooms has a skylight, with a remote-controlled shade and a king-sized bed. It’s a quite a bit larger than the second bedroom , which is currently a chill space with a record player and Hay floor mattress. The second bedroom is great for guests and maybe kids, but not a long-term space. We’ve used it as an office previously. This apartment is ideal for a couple or working single person. Fully furnished, Verizon Fios WiFi, and a projector with connected Apple TV. The large living/dining area also has a desk/work nook with a monitor for a wonderful work from home option as well as a Brazilian-style hammock for reading + relaxing.
This is a second floor walk up in one of the smaller buildings, not like the typical condo-style space in LIC. Our landlords are artists, so the building is filled with their art and beautifully maintained.
In-building washer/dryer in the basement (free), dishwasher, and plenty of great coffee shops, restaurants in this neighborhood. We are walking distance to MoMA PS1 and various Michelin-star restaurants as well as Gantry State Park.
Both my partner and I are Creative Directors in the experiential / spatial and motion graphics fields. We are the tenants with permission to sublease. We will be spending a few months on the west coast for projects.
We have lived here for 4 years and are looking for people who will love the space as their own while we’re hard at work! West coast work will likely be a regular thing and we’d love to have familiar faces in the space :)
We will be the on-site contact, but our landlords live locally.

One month’s rent and security deposit upfront, will need to submit sublet application to landlord directly for approval 30 days before move-in.
We’re happy to FaceTime/zoom before submission. Also happy to arrange an in-person visit, just let us know.
Ideally, we are looking for the full sublet term - mid-December through end of March, but we can be flexible for the right fit.
