Available: June 16 – July 7 (flexible move-in date)
I’m subletting my fully furnished one-bedroom apartment in Park Slope for approximately three weeks this summer. The apartment is a cozy, light-filled retreat in a classic brownstone on a beautiful tree-lined street, just half a block from Prospect Park. It’s on the third floor of a quiet 10-unit building and has been my home base for the past six years — comfortable, calm, and well-suited for both remote work and everyday living.
The apartment is clean, bright, and thoughtfully arranged. The living room features 13-foot ceilings and three large windows that create an open, airy feel throughout the space. There’s a comfortable living area, a dining table that seats four, and two desk/work-from-home options.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-burner electric stove, compact oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and all the essentials for cooking and baking (pots, pans, KitchenAid, immersion blender, etc.). Whether you’re making simple weeknight meals or cooking for a Saturday Prospect Park picnic, you’ll have what you need.
The bedroom includes a full-size bed, ample closet space, and a dresser. The apartment temperature is very comfortable, but there is a window A/C unit in the living room that cools the entire apartment, as well as a window fan for the bedroom if needed.
The building is quiet, well-maintained, and home to friendly, respectful neighbors. Coin-operated laundry machines are easily accessible through the interior stairwell. Own a car? Street parking is generally manageable, with spots often available on this block or nearby streets.
Prospect Park is steps away, and summer in the neighborhood is especially lovely — long walks through the park, Celebrate Brooklyn concerts at the Bandshell, the Grand Army Plaza farmers market, and easy access to cafés, groceries, and restaurants along 7th Avenue.
Having lived in this apartment for six years, I’ve fallen in love with the neighborhood and my wonderful neighbors.
By day, I work remotely in the nonprofit world, and by night you’ll usually find me reading, cooking, or puzzzzin' (or taking in a season of Love Island or Traitors).
I keep a very clean, calm, well-cared-for home. While I’ll be traveling during the sublet, I’ll be reachable and happy to share neighborhood tips or local favorites.
Having used the Listings Project to sublet my apartment several times, I am grateful to have maintained connections with many of those who’ve stayed here, several of whom have returned for multiple visits.
- Rent: $1,400/week (discount for the full stay)
- Security deposit: $300 (returned within 5 days after move-out, provided there is no damage beyond normal wear and tear)
- Payment schedule: 50% of the total sublet fee plus $300 security deposit is due upon agreement. The remaining 50% is due the day of move-in.
- Utilities (internet, electric, water, etc.): Included
- Professional cleaning: Included
- Renters insurance: Included
- Pets: Not permitted
- Smoking: Not permitted
- Parties/gatherings: I understand that the availability overlaps with a holiday weekend and that part of the joy of summer in New York is spending time with friends. That said, I’ve unfortunately had previous renters take significant advantage of my space when it came to hosting, so I’m especially interested in tenants who are thoughtful and considerate of both the apartment and the building community. Many of the furnishings and decor in my home are personal and irreplaceable, so I’m looking for someone who will treat the space with genuine care and respect.
