Hello! We’re looking to fill a room in our 3br Carroll Gardens apartment for a yearlong lease starting March 1.
The room available is the smaller bedroom ($975/month) is relatively small. It includes a spacious closet and overhead storage space.
Our apartment is on the third floor in a walk up. The apartment has tons of natural light including a skylight in the living room, windows that get a lot of light in every room, wooden floors and high ceilings.
Location: Carroll Gardens. Lots of cute bars, coffee shops, bodegas and restaurants within a couple blocks' radius. The apartment is also right off the Smith 9th St. stop on the F/G lines. Gowanus and Red Hook are both a short walk away, and Prospect park is a mile up the hill.
Roommates: You’d be joining Carson and Arjun, both late 20s, both of whom work from home, and both of whom are transgender comedians. Both are relatively quiet and out most nights.
Being cool with trans stuff is a must. We're especially looking to live with women or queer people.
NOTE: Apologies for the state of the room in the photos. It was out of my control. 🫠
Utilities not included in the rent.
Carson (they/them) - 29 - work from home writer and comedian. Relatively tidy but far from a neat freak.
Arjun (they/she) - late 20s - work from home comedian
I'm a tenant who's lived here for 4 years. I love it and am very excited to stay.
Documentation you may need: credit check fee of $20. Income verification of some sort. Landlord verification letter. Professional/personal references. Bank statements. In my experience, the specific documents needed were negotiable.
Not sure of the specifics - will need to inquire with property management company - but we have pet-friendly neighbors, and there's already one dog in the building.
