The Property & Living Arrangement
Situated on 28 acres of fields and woods bordering the Green Mountain National Forest, this property is a peaceful, multi-use sanctuary. The grounds include the main residence and a separate, detached guesthouse (the Apothecary). This home has been run as an artist residency and family residence for a decade. The owners continue to steward the land, maintaining the gardens and trails. We are looking for one additional housemate to complete a quiet, two-person household. It is an ideal fit for someone who appreciates nature, quiet, intentional living. Housemate will be joining one current resident (female, college professor) in this spacious 1,948 sq. ft. home.
YOUR SPACE:
Full Upstairs Privacy: The housemate will occupy the entire top floor, which includes two bedrooms and a private full bathroom. This layout offers separation and is ideal for someone needing a dedicated bedroom plus a separate home office, studio, or guest space.
Shared Main Level:
Common Areas: Large living room with a Rumford fireplace and wood-burning stove.
Sunroom: A light-filled 3-season sunroom with its own wood stove.
Kitchen & Dining: Fully equipped shared kitchen and dedicated dining area.
Studio & Storage: Use of the 2-car garage and access to a barn with an enclosed studio space.
GROUNDS
The Apothecary: Please note that the detached 1-bedroom guesthouse on the property is a separate rental unit and occasional artist residency space. While you’ll share the 28 acres of trails, pond, and fire pits with the guest in the Apothecary, the main house remains your private shared living space.
The Land: 28 acres of walking paths, a swimming pond, a creek, and two fire pits.
