Art & Artists
Our current Listings Project Artist Feature is Brooklyn based art director and designer, Timothy McAuliffe.
“The Listings Project allowed me to finally find the perfect apartment in Bushwick. There’s an open area off of the bedroom that I was able to transform into a beautiful creative space. I’m excited that this great community exists.” — Tim
Tim runs his own creative shop — Gold Van — out of the Brooklyn apartment he found on Listings Project. He specializes in art direction, illustration, branding and advertising. Throughout his career, he has worked on large scale design projects for a number of clients including Bud Light and Zagat and has published work in several print and web-based media outlets. In addition to running Gold Van, Tim is an Art Director at Google.
Earlier this year, Tim was invited by Adidas to collaborate with 5 other artists to turn an empty warehouse in downtown New Orleans into an interactive art gallery: The adidas Hoops Collective. The Collective documented All-Star Weekend 2017 in real-time through murals, comic strips, and illustrations. They even created customized sneakers that James Harden wore during the All-Star game itself. Over the course of the three-day project, Tim’s contribution included 5 portraits of the Adidas Hoops athletes as well as a full weekend of live-drawing and digital painting in New Orleans.
