I'm looking for someone to sublet my home, a large sunny apartment in a brownstone on 6th avenue. I'm subletting because my dog needs ACL surgery and cannot make it up the two flights of stairs to the apt til he's healed.
I'm a college professor and a writer and will be upstate during this time.
This is a cozy railroad style two bedroom apartment in South Slope! There is a full bedroom with a queen bed, a desk office set-up a TV room with a giant squishy daybed which can sleep one person or a couple, a full living room with a couch that could also be sleepable, a full bath with a tub, and a full kitchen with in unit laundry and a dishwasher.
Accessibility wise it's on the third floor--so two flights of stairs.
The 7th Avenue F/G train is a short walk away.
There are tons of cafes, restaurants, and bars in the neighborhood and I'd be happy to offer you my YMCA gym membership for the duration of the stay as well. It's a 15 minute walk to Prospect Park and Nitehawk Movie theater.
Happy to answer any other questions! When you text, please tell me your name and the month or months you're interested in.
Happy to sublet for as little as one month or as long as the full time period. No discounts for staying partial dates, I'm afraid--I'm looking to sublet for whole months. So I am looking for people willing to pay the monthly rate regardless of their precise dates.
I'm a writer and a professor. The apartment is full of art and plants and records and books. It's a space meant for real living but I also keep it very clean. I have a large dog who lives with me the I am at home so folks with sensitive dog allergies might not want this to be their spot.
This is my home!
A $1000 deposit is required as well as the phone number of one reference. Deposit returned after stay is complete.
Well-trained dogs allowed in the apartment but not on the furniture. No pee pads, please.
