Hi there! My name is Stephanie and I'm seeking a furnished sublet from 5/18 (flexible) - 8/17 (flexible by a few days). My start date is more flexible since my internship starts June 1 but hoping to move in by the end of May to get settled.
My budget is $2300 for a studio/1 BR but ideally under $2000 for a shared living arrangement. I would prefer to be close to Prospect Park (Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Downtown Brooklyn, Park Slope, Crown Heights). Prefer proximity to trains NRW / 456 / JZ / AC / 123.
The main amenities/furnishings I'm looking for: bed/mattress, desk/table (for when I WFH), and some sort of closet space. Highly prefer A/C in the bedroom. Wi-Fi for WFH.
About me:
I’m a grad student in my late 20s doing a Masters in Public Policy at Duke University (concentrating in climate policy) and I’ll be interning in New York this summer. My internship is remote Mondays and Fridays but T/W/Th is in-person, and on the weekends I don’t expect to be in the apartment much.
I like to keep my living spaces regularly tidy and neat, but I'm not too intense about it. I am responsible and will treat your space with respect. I can also cat-sit if that is needed/of interest (grew up w/ 2 cats).
I am friendly & social (half introvert half extrovert) and like to bop around the city, but I keep it pretty chill when I’m home to decompress (will watch TV occasionally, cook, etc.). I used to live in NYC for many years (including six years post-grad) so I’m very familiar with the city. I can also share my LinkedIn or Instagram upon request!
Please reach out if you think we'd be a good fit or w/ any questions. More than happy to do a Facetime/video call to chat more.
She/her, cis woman, LGBTQ+ (bi). Have worked in corporate and non-profits roles, and now working in the climate policy world which I love. My friends describe me as calm and easygoing (occasionally funny), which I tend to agree with. Hobbies include painting/drawing, live shows (music, comedy, etc), dancing, tennis/pickleball, but I spend most of my time having quality hang time with my friends.
