## Atelier Artist in Residence, France

### Position Overview
Atelier Artist in Residence seeks a talented and passionate chef or personal chef to prepare nightly meals for our creative community of 9-14 resident artists. This role offers the unique opportunity to nourish creativity through exceptional cuisine while working in the inspiring setting of our French residency program.

### Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare dinner for 9-14 people each evening
- Create varied, balanced menus that accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences
- Source fresh, seasonal ingredients, preferably from local markets and producers
- Manage kitchen inventory and maintain food budget
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards
- Accommodate special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, allergies, etc.)
- Create a warm, communal dining experience that fosters connection among residents

### Qualifications
**Required:**
- Proven experience as a chef or cook (minimum 3-5 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of French and international cuisine
- Ability to efficiently prepare meals for groups of 9-14 people
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, creative environment

**Preferred:**
- Culinary school training or equivalent professional experience
- Experience working in residency programs, retreats, or communal living settings
- Familiarity with local French markets and seasonal ingredients
- Ability to accommodate various dietary requirements creatively
- English speaking

### Schedule & Compensation
- Evening meal preparation required (typical hours: afternoon through dinner service)
- 6 days per week
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
