Five B Studio brings hands-on sewing classes to schools across New York City, inspiring creativity and confidence through craftsmanship. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic sewing instructor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
+ Teach engaging sewing lessons to small groups of students (elementary to middle school)
+ Manage classroom setup and cleanup independently
+ Ensure students’ safety and maintain an organized, positive learning environment
+ Represent Five B Studio with professionalism and punctuality
Requirements:
+ Intermediate to advanced sewing skills (machine and hand sewing)
+ Experience working with children or in a classroom setting
+ Strong time management and communication skills
+ Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
+ Must be punctual and reliable
This is a part-time, school-based position with classes held during or after school hours. Classes can be typically between the hours of 1:45 to 5:00 once or twice a week.
