This is a cute 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of the thriving Canal St Martin area (Parisian equivalent to Brooklyn).
It has a living room/kitchen, complete with video projector, washing machine/dryer, oven, stove top, and a set of sharp knives.
The room has access to an enormous unofficial roof terrace, from where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning sun.
The first bedroom is equipped with a delightful Queen-sized Sofitel hotel bed, which is very comfortable and cosy.
The second bed is in a mezzanine in the second room, which doubles as a study and a washing line.
The bathroom is located in the centre of the house - the floor layout is a little odd, but that's common in Paris - which has a shower.
The apartment is on second floor, no elevator. It is less than 10 minutes walk to the Republique subway station hub, which is very well connected. It is also close to the very cool Belleville area, and the delightful Canal St Martin, which throngs with shops, tasty cafes, and wine bars a plenty.
I'm Sam, an Australian journalist living in Paris for 17 years. I live in the apartment by myself, it's great for one person, or living in a couple. The guest bedroom/mezzanine is suitable for friends staying a few nights.
I love the neighbourhood, it's gentrifying quickly yet still holds it's urban appeal.
